Bidgee Blues Club Inc
Rules for Open Mic/Jam Sessions
- The Bidgee Blues Club Jam Manager or committee member in charge of the
session will be the boss. He/she will manage all aspects of the session
and
has the right to refuse musicians at his/her discretion e.g. those too
intoxicated to play.
- Songs performed are to be predominantly "Blues" style.
- Bookings to play are preferred in advance with the Jam Manager. Late
bookings will be considered where possible. A first in first play
principle
will apply.
- Approved Acts will be allocated a 20 minute set scheduled by the Jam
Manager. (If time permits another or longer set may be permitted).
- An act can do a set as a band/solo if pre-organised with the committee
before
the date of the jam.
- Performers must take care of the venue's equipment. Failing to do so may
result in being charged for any damage incurred and possible expulsion.
- Only musicians performing the set are to be on-stage.
- Musicians are asked to bring guitar amps, drum sticks and equipment not
supplied by the Bidgee Blues Club.
- The Jam Manager will arrange a sound technician to operate the Sound
Desk
and has the right to ask musicians to turn down volume if too loud.
- Change over time between sets should be as swift as possible or time
will be
taken away from sets.
- Cost $5 at the door per person.
